THE APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants will submit a resume, a business plan (2-5 pages), at least two client references and two peer references, and a questionnaire. The business plan must contain SMART goals and an action plan with identified benchmarks for their first year. The application process is open.

GLF will review all submissions and invite the top applicants to interview and will evaluate the candidates based on a number of criteria, including:

  • Quality of the business plan
  • Minimum of five years of private practice or in-house experience
  • Practice expertise in business transactional work, business litigation, or other practice areas complementary to business law (e.g., IP, tax, creditors’ rights, real estate, labor, and employment, etc.)
  • Core values fit
  • Potential for growth and success

THE LAUNCHPAD

GLF is located in Chagrin Falls at 100 North Main Street, Suite 300. Selected candidates will receive an office, furniture, phone, full IT support, secretarial/paralegal/law clerk support (as available), email, research databases, marketing assistance, and professional development coaching, all cost-free, for up to one year, provided that the candidate’s self-generated benchmarks are met (or are excused).  Prior to acceptance, candidates will execute a rent-free sublease and an of counsel agreement with GLF to address conflicts, confidentiality, fee sharing, and other ethical restrictions.
